Loading Backlink Data

Backlinks are on-demand in RankSpy. Click Load backlinks from the tab. The job takes 1-3 minutes depending on competitor size. Smaller sites return faster.

For rankar.ai the backlink universe is small and homogenous (the brand is young). For an established competitor like semrush.com or ahrefs.com, the universe is large.

The Feed Layout

Each entry shows:

Source domain.
Domain Authority.
Anchor text used.
Target page on the competitor.
First-seen date.

The default sort is by first-seen descending — newest links first.

Filtering for Prospects

Three filters matter:

DA threshold. Filter to DA ≥ 50 to focus on the links worth pursuing. Recency. Last 30 days for current activity. Anchor text type. Editorial anchors (not branded or generic) signal content-driven links.

The combination produces a clean prospect list. Each prospect is a domain that recently linked editorially to your competitor — a domain that might link to you for a similar reason.

From Prospect to Outreach

For each prospect:

Identify the linking page. Open it and read why they linked.
Find your equivalent. What page on your site would they link to instead?
Pitch. Use RankLinks to manage the outreach campaign.
