Privacy Policy
Last updated: 24 June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Rankar (“Rankar”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you use rankar.ai and our services (the “Services”). It applies to all users, including buyers, publishers, and agency team members.
1.Information We Collect
- Account information: your name, email address, password, avatar, role, and agency or workspace details.
- Content and activity you provide: orders, briefs, articles, messages, site listings, target URLs, campaigns, and support requests.
- Payment information: wallet top-ups and payments are handled by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers. We retain transaction records, wallet balances, and order history.
- Usage and device data: log data, IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and actions taken in the app.
- Cookies and similar technologies (see the Cookies section below).
- Third-party data: metrics from SEO data providers, and information from services you connect (for example Google sign-in or Search Console), used to operate the relevant features.
2.How We Use Your Information
- Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Services.
- Process orders, payments, wallet transactions, and escrow, and facilitate the marketplace between buyers and publishers.
- Provide customer support and respond to your requests.
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues.
- Send service, transactional, and (where permitted) marketing communications.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
3.Legal Bases (EEA / UK)
If you are in the EEA or UK, we process personal data on the following bases: performance of a contract with you; our legitimate interests (such as operating and securing the Services); your consent (for example certain cookies or marketing); and compliance with legal obligations.
4.Cookies & Tracking
We use essential cookies to run the Services (such as authentication and preferences) and may use analytics cookies to understand usage and improve the product. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect functionality.
5.How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:
- Service providers and sub-processors that help us run the Services — for example hosting and database providers, payment processors, email delivery, analytics, and AI providers — under appropriate confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
- Other users where necessary to fulfill an order: publishers receive the order details and content needed to complete a placement, and buyers receive relevant publisher information.
- Legal and safety reasons: to comply with law, enforce our terms, or protect the rights, property, or safety of Rankar, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
6.Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Services, and thereafter as required to comply with legal, accounting, tax, or reporting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
7.Security
We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including access controls and encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8.Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know and delete personal information and to opt out of its sale — and we do not sell personal information. To exercise any right, contact us using the details below; we may need to verify your identity.
9.International Transfers
We may process and store information in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers of personal data.
10.Children's Privacy
The Services are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
11.Third-Party Links
The Services may link to third-party websites and services that we do not control. This Policy does not apply to those third parties, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies.
12.Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide reasonable notice.
