Building a report

From any project, click "Generate Report" to open the report builder, where you choose which sections to include — health score, issue matrix, Core Web Vitals, schema and so on — and select a template layout suited to either a technical or executive audience.

  • Choose sections to include
  • Pick a technical or executive template

Applying white-label branding

In the branding tab, upload your agency logo, set a primary brand colour, and add a custom cover page message. Once configured, this branding is saved as a default and applied automatically to future reports for that client or across your whole account.

  • Upload logo and set brand colour
  • Save as default for future reports

Sharing options

Reports can be exported as a PDF, or published as a live shareable link that updates automatically each time a new crawl runs, which is useful for clients who want an always-current dashboard rather than a static document.

Scheduling recurring delivery

The delivery tab lets you schedule a report to be emailed automatically to specified recipients on a monthly or weekly cadence, removing the need to manually generate and send reports each reporting cycle.

Why this matters

Presenting a professional, branded audit report directly impacts client perception and retention. A poorly formatted, unbranded, or generic report suggests a lack of attention to detail and can undermine confidence in your SEO expertise. Conversely, a polished, white-label report elevates your agency's credibility, reinforcing your brand identity and demonstrating a commitment to delivering high-quality, actionable insights. This distinction can be crucial when competing for new business or justifying ongoing retainers, ensuring your technical capabilities are matched by equally professional communication.

Consider a scenario where an agency delivers an unbranded RankAudit report directly to a C-suite client. While the data is accurate, the client might perceive it as an off-the-shelf output rather than a bespoke analysis from their SEO partner. This can dilute the perceived value of your work. By contrast, a report featuring the agency's logo, colour scheme, and a personalised executive summary positions you as the authoritative source, integrating the audit findings seamlessly into your existing client relationship. This reinforces trust and solidifies your role as a strategic partner, not just a service provider.

Prioritising Data for Client-Facing Summaries

When configuring your white-label reports, the selection and prioritisation of data points for the executive summary and key findings sections are paramount. Overloading the report with raw data or low-priority metrics can obscure critical issues and dilute the report's impact. Instead, focus on metrics that directly address the client's core business objectives or highlight the most severe technical problems identified during the audit. This strategic curation ensures stakeholders immediately grasp the most salient insights without having to sift through extensive granular detail.

A common pitfall is to include every available data point, assuming more information equates to more value. This often leads to information overload, particularly for non-technical leadership. Effective reporting involves a synthesis of complex audit data into digestible, actionable recommendations. This requires you to step back from the raw RankAudit output and consider the client's perspective: what do they need to know to make informed decisions? Prioritising based on impact, feasibility of remediation, and direct correlation to business KPIs will yield the most effective reports.

  • Focus on high-impact errors and opportunities.
  • Align reported metrics with client KPIs.
  • Condense technical jargon into plain language.
  • Limit chart and table complexity in summaries.
