Opening the marketplace tab
From the RankLinks dashboard, the Marketplace tab is the default landing view, showing a paginated grid of publisher sites with thumbnail, domain, niche tag and headline price. Each card is clickable straight through to a full site profile.
The top bar holds a search box for a specific domain, plus a sort dropdown covering price, domain authority, organic traffic and turnaround time. Switch between grid and list view using the toggle on the right if you prefer scanning dense rows.
- Marketplace tab → grid of sites with price and niche visible at a glance
- Search box for exact domain lookups
- Sort by price, DA, traffic or turnaround
Reading a site card
Each card shows a niche badge, country flag, and three headline metrics so you can filter mentally before opening the full profile. A green 'verified publisher' tick means the site has passed RankLinks' onboarding checks.
Hover over the price to see whether it includes content writing or is placement-only — this distinction matters a lot once you reach the order wizard.
Opening a full site profile
Clicking through opens the site profile page with tabs for Overview, Metrics, Sample Posts and Reviews. Overview covers niche, language, accepted topics and any content restrictions the publisher has set.
Sample Posts links out to previously published guest posts so you can judge writing quality and placement style directly, rather than trusting the listing alone.
Saving sites for later
Use the bookmark icon on any card or profile to add it to your Saved Sites list, accessible from the sidebar. This is the natural home for a shortlist you're building before a bulk campaign.
Why this matters
Neglecting thorough site vetting before ordering can lead to wasted budget and, more critically, a detrimental impact on your SEO performance. Imagine securing several links from sites that, upon closer inspection, reveal declining organic traffic, a high proportion of spammy outbound links, or a completely irrelevant audience. These links, rather than conferring authority, could signal poor quality to search engines, potentially leading to minimal ranking improvement, or even a negative association for your domain. Your investment yields no tangible return, and recovery requires further effort.
Conversely, meticulously selecting sites using the RankLinks marketplace filters and profile data ensures every pound spent contributes positively to your SEO strategy. For instance, identifying a niche-relevant publication with consistent traffic growth, a clean backlink profile, and high content quality before outreach maximises the value of your link. This proactive approach ensures your link acquisition efforts build a robust, authoritative link profile, directly contributing to improved organic visibility, higher rankings, and sustained referral traffic without requiring costly remedial action later.
Evaluating Traffic Trends for Sustainable Value
A critical aspect of judging publisher sites involves analysing their organic traffic trends over time. A site displaying a consistent or upward trajectory in organic traffic generally indicates good health, effective content strategy, and search engine favourability. Conversely, a sharp or sustained decline in traffic might signal recent algorithm penalties, content quality issues, or a general loss of relevance within its niche. While short-term fluctuations are normal, a clear downward trend over several months should prompt caution, as such a site may offer diminished long-term SEO value for your link.
To perform this evaluation within the site profile, pay close attention to the historical organic traffic charts. Look for the overall pattern across the available data range, not just the most recent month. Consider how any observed dips correlate with known Google algorithm updates. A site that has recovered well from previous dips demonstrates resilience, whereas one in continuous decline suggests underlying problems that could devalue any link placed there. Prioritise sites demonstrating stability or growth to ensure your acquired link benefits from a consistently relevant and well-regarded source.
- Identify sites with at least 12 months of stable or increasing organic traffic.
- Cross-reference significant traffic drops with known algorithm updates.
- Exclude sites showing a persistent downward trend of 20% or more over 6 months.
- Prioritise consistent traffic over sporadic spikes for long-term impact.
