Setting up a grid

Rank Tracking → Grid Map lets you centre a grid on your business address, choose grid size (number of points) and spacing (distance between points), then select the keywords to check across every point.

A wider spacing suits businesses serving a large service area, while tighter spacing gives more precision for a business relying on very local foot traffic — the setup screen shows the covered radius live as you adjust either setting.

Reading the heat map

Each point on the map is colour-coded by rank position for the selected keyword — green for top three, amber for the rest of page one, red for page two or beyond — making weak zones visually obvious rather than needing a table scan.

Clicking a weak point shows the top-ranking competitor at that specific location, which is often a different business than the one winning at your own address — useful for understanding hyper-local competition rather than assuming one rival dominates everywhere.
